TheatreWorks of Northern Nevada Presents Conor McPherson’s
“The Weir”
TheatreWorks brings its season into the fall with an insightful Irish play full of tales about ghosts, spirits, life and death. Set in a small pub in rural Ireland on a windy night, four local men meet a young woman who has come to town. They begin swapping stories as they tell her about the history of the area. The tales bring out the local ghostly legends but then much more comes to light as the evening goes on.
“The Weir” won McPherson the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play in 1999.
